Biography

Mr. John Layton serves as Managing Partner, Portfolio Manager, Wealth Management & Board Member at LMCG Investments. Prior to joining LMCG in January 2003, Mr. Layton had ten years with the private client arm of the former Scudder, Stevens & Clark. As a Managing Director at Scudder, he was directly responsible for investing clients' taxable and tax-exempt accounts. He also led the stock selection effort as co-Chair of the Equity Strategy Group. Previously, Mr. Layton spent six years at Fiduciary Trust Company, where he was a vice president and trust officer and a member of that firm's Investment Committee. He received an AB from Kenyon College in English and an MA in Education from the University of Michigan. Jake is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Chartered Investment Counselor, and a member of the Boston Securities Analyst Society and the Boston Estate Planning Council. He is also President of the Board of Boston Biomedical Research Institute and a member of the Corporation of Hale Reservation.
