Biography

Mr. Stephen Usher serves as Managing Director, Credit at BC Partners. He served as Managing Director & Head of Distribution at LafayetteSquare. He served as Partner and Head of External Relations at Standard General. He was formerly a Founding Partner of Serengeti Asset Management, where he managed the firm's marketing activity and developed its credit trading desk. He spent more than a decade at Goldman Sachs, during which time he built out Goldman's European distressed bond and bank debt sales and sourcing effort in London, and worked for its distressed bank loan sales and trading group in New York. He began his career at Citibank as a leveraged loan salesman. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Harlem School of the Arts. He received his B.A. in Government from Wesleyan University.
