Biography

Mr. Barry Chien serves as Partner at Goji Holdings. Mr. Chien served as Managing Director at NMS Capital Advisors. He oversees the firm's operations in Hong Kong and Greater China. He has over 15 years of private equity and real estate experience having invested on behalf of institutional investors in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Mr. Chien began his career at Deutsche Bank RREEF Alternative Investments where he allocated over $500 million in top quartile GPs and co-investments. In addition, Mr. Chien was responsible for monitoring multi-billion dollar private equity portfolios on behalf of U.S. pension funds and Sovereign Wealth Funds. Mr. Chien recently worked as the Deputy General Manager at Greentown, a Hong Kong publicly listed company and closed on a $204 million, 271 unit condo development project in a JV with one of Seattle's most active developers. Mr. Chien has also worked at a real estate private equity fund PGC Capital where he completed a 77 unit condo development project in Birmingham, U.K. Mr. Chien holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin McComb's School of Business with a major in Finance and an MBA from the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.
