Biography

Mr. Nick Finlayson served as Partner at Bird & Bird. Previously, he served as a Partner at Truman Hoyle Lawyers. Nick is a specialist property and infrastructure lawyer providing industry leading service in all areas of property law including sales and acquisitions, property development, design and construction, financing and commercial and retail leasing, datacentre development and green leasing. Nick has been involved in some of Australia's largest property transactions and numerous national infrastructure projects and has considerable experience in front end construction advice and construction litigation. Nick has also previously spent 12 months on secondment as counsel to Woolworths Limited working across a wide range of commercial and property matters including the acquisition and roll-out of over 130 supermarkets, petrol stations and liquor shops. Nick acts for a number of telecommunications carriers, large property owning companies, private developers, retirement village operators, retail, commercial and industrial landlords and tenants across Australia. He has particular expertise in telecommunications networks including drafting standard documentation and negotiation manuals for landowners, councils and telecommunications carriers.
