Biography

Mr. Timur Issatayev served as Main Partner at Verny Capital. He has more than 15 years of experience with financial markets in Kazakhstan, the broader CIS and globally. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Verny Capital JSC from 2007 to 2013. As of October 2013, he is Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of Alliance Bank. Between 2003 to 2006, he was Chairman of the Board of ATF Bank and managed the bank's risk and growth strategy to become one of three largest financial institutions in the country. He successfully sold ATF to Unicredito Italiano in 2007. From 2001 to 2003, he was First Deputy Chairman of Temirbank and from 1999 to 2001 he served as First Deputy General Manager of DAB ABN AMRO Bank Kazakhstan JSC. From 1996 to 1999 he headed the office of ING Barings in Almaty. For three years he worked at the IMF as Advisor to the CEO. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy and Economics of Kazakhstan State University and holds a Master of Arts in Development Economics, Yale University, USA. Timur Issatayev is among the 50 most influential businessmen of Kazakhstan as per "Forbes Kazakhstan" magazine. He was awarded the "Kurmet" medal and is founder and President of the RK Federation of Trapshooting and Practical Shooting (since 2008). Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in trapshooting.
