David Mode General Information

Biography

Mr. David Mode served as Partner at Warren Hall Capital. He has more than 23 years of experience working with startups, stressed and distressed companies. Most recently, he was a Managing Director in Citigroup's restructuring/workout group, where he spent over 13 years negotiating and executing complex restructurings. At Citi, he led hundreds of transactions with companies ranging in size from $5 million to billions in sales. From 2010-2011, David helped lead the acquisition of EMI Group through the largest-ever pre-pack U.K. Administration, and served on the Board of Directors following the successful takeover. Before joining Citigroup, David spent ten years working for and advising early stage and troubled companies, managing over 100 employees. David founded his own consulting business, where he advised on deal structure, negotiation, due diligence, strategic planning and operations troubleshooting, primarily in publishing and technology. He was also an Associate Publisher at News Communications, Inc., where he ran several Manhattan community newspapers. Prior to News Communications, David was General Manager of Palais du Chocolat, where he helped build a wholesale and retail pastry and chocolate business. David has an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
