Biography

Mr. Alan Curtis serves as Chief Operating Officer at EigenLayer. Mr. Curtis co-founded & served as Chief Executive Officer at Rio Network. He served as Venture Partner at Blockchain Capital. He joined BCAP in November of 2022 to lead the firm's Platform effort. In that role, he leveraged eight years of experience advising and supporting hundreds of startups and partnered directly with our founders to tackle strategic, operational, and tactical challenges. He transitioned to CEO of Rio Development Inc, the development company behind, Rio Network and Venture Partner at Blockchain Capital in late 2024. Rio is a network for issuing Liquid Restaking Tokens, with a mission to provide the best risk-managed access to staking rewards. Prior to joining Blockchain Capital, he was the Chief Technology Officer of Core Scientific and helped take the company public on NASDAQ ($CORZ). Previously, he co-founded and sold two companies, including RADAR (acquired), where he built category defining products, including one of the first decentralized exchanges. Before founding RADAR, he was the Program Director at Innosphere, a technology incubator working with "hard tech" science and engineering companies.
