Biography

Mr. John Chahbandour serves as Chief Strategy Officer and Board Member at Cerahelix. He serves as Strategic Advisor at Noria Water Technologies. He serves as Partner at Hydro Venture Partners. He has more than 25 years of experience in mining, oil and gas, and water resources sectors. He has broad global knowledge of technical water management solutions, agency negotiation, and stakeholder engagement. Most recently, he was the Director of Strategic Water Management for MWH Global, a leading global engineering company focused on wet infrastructure. In that role he focused on corporate governance, technical solutions, and data analysis systems for managing business critical water risks faced by MWH's global industrial clients. Prior to joining MWH, he was a Managing Director of Water Management Consultants, an international hydrological consulting firm specializing in water resource engineering. During his time at Water Management Consultants he served in various capacities including Operations Manager in Santiago, Chile and Vice President of North America. he was part of the Executive Team that led the company to consistently strong financial performance resulting in the sale of Water Management Consultants to Schlumberger in 2007. Following sale of the company, Mr. Chahbandour served as the President of North America for Schlumberger Water Services until joining MWH in 2011. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Alabama and a Master of Science degree in Hydrology from the University of Arizona. His international experience includes work in Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Indonesia, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, and Peru.
