Biography

Mr. Olaf Wentrup serves as Managing Director & Head of Investor Relation Europe at Apax Partners. Mr. Wentrup served as Principal at Mercury Capital Advisors. He is a member of the Mercury European Distribution team responsible for LP coverage in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Before joining Mercury, he worked for BerchWood Partners covering investors in the DACH - region and South-East Asia. Previously, He was Head of Client Business Development for Citigroup in the Private Equity Fund Coverage Department, responsible for developing new relationships with PE sponsors in the EMEA region. He joined Citi from Chatham Financial, where he advised private equity and real estate funds managers regarding FX and interest rate hedging needs. He also worked in Credit Agricole's Financial Sponsors Group and at Allianz Capital Partners conducting private equity fund-of-funds due diligence. He started his career at WestLB in Germany on their pan-European Equity Sales Desk and Private Equity & Mezzanine Solutions Group. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business Administration from Wiesbaden Business School and also earned a Masters degree in International Affairs from Columbia University.
