Biography

Ms. Kaisa Keski-Vahala served as Counsel at Castren & Snellman. She served as a Senior Counsel at Bird & Bird. She has years' of experience in complex, multi-national privacy and data protection projects. Kaisa Keski-Vähälä is a senior counsel based in our Helsinki office. She heads the Finnish Privacy and Data Protection Practice Group. In addition to privacy and data protection matters she specialises in commercial and non-contentious IP matters as well as public procurement issues. Kaisa has experience advising on and negotiating a wide range of commercial arrangements, including IT procurement, intellectual property licensing and data protection and privacy issues. Kaisa acts for domestic and international clients across a range of sectors including communications, information technology, media, life sciences and consumer products. Kaisa was educated at the University of Helsinki (LL.M.). She was admitted to the Finnish Bar in 2004. Kaisa is also an active member of the Finnish IT Law Association and The Finnish Industrial Property Rights Association and ITechLaw. She speaks fluent Finnish, English and Swedish.
