Biography

Ms. Loredana Mihailescu served as a Partner & Head of Energy in Romania at CMS Cameron McKenna. She is a Partner in the CMS Bucharest office and Head of Energy in Romania. Dedicated full-time to our clients in the energy sector, she specializes in energy and environmental law. Loredana has worked on some of the most important transactions and projects in the energy sector in Romania to date. Over the past fourteen years, Loredana has advised on independent power projects, renewables and emissions trading, regulatory and commercial arrangements, M&A transactions in the power and oil & gas sectors, sector restructurings, fuel supply arrangements and PPAs, regional trading arrangements, development of regional cross-border gas infrastructure, farm in and farm out agreements, gas sale contracts, regional and wholesale/retail supply issues, as well as advising on power sector legislation in Romania and Moldova. Prior to joining CMS, Loredana was an associate in a Romanian law firm specializing in privatisation, energy law and international arbitration, and a Legal Adviser within the Legal Department of the Romanian Authority for Privatisation and State Assets Management, where she participated in the negotiation and drafting of privatisation agreements.
