Biography
Mr. David Weng serves as Chief Executive Officer & General Partner, Tech Fund at Taiwania Capital. He has also been appointed as a Board Member for Tricorntech and Cognito Health. He has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and Internet technologies. He focuses primarily on early-stage investments in the Internet, enterprise software, wireless, cybersecurity, and rapidly-growing technology companies. He has invested in about 80 early-stage high technology companies. Some of the more notable successes include the NetScreen Technologies IPO and its acquisition by Juniper Networks for US$4 billion, and Protego Networks' acquisition by Cisco Systems. Prior to his investment projects, He served as Software Engineering Director at Cisco Systems and at Hewlett-Packard before that. He actively participated in M&A activities during Cisco fast-growing time in the '90s.
