Biography

Ms. Abigail Butler serves as Partner at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath. She served as Partner at Faegre Baker Daniels. She concentrates her practice on intellectual property and product liability litigation. She has litigated both patent and product liability matters involving a wide variety of medical devices and consumer products, and she has extensive experience in managing issues that often develop during complex litigation. As a member of the firm's product liability group nationally ranked by Chambers USA and "Highly Recommended" in Legal Media Group's Life Sciences edition, Abigail has represented product manufacturers and sellers in state and federal courts across the country, including acting as national and local counsel in matters involving orthopedic devices, automobiles, recreational vehicles, and surgical and medical products. Abigail also is licensed to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has represented clients in the preparation of patent applications and prosecution of patent matters.
