Biography

Ms. Laura O'Donnell served as General Counsel & Vice President - Global Affairs at GE Healthcare. Immediately upon graduation of law school, Laura started working at the law firm of Faegre, Baker & Daniels and during her eight (8) years there provided counseling and litigation support to clients in a variety of industries on multiple commercial and other issues. In 2004, Laura was voted into the firm as an equity partner. In 2005, Zimmer Holdings Inc., a $5B health care company and one of Laura's clients, asked her to join the company as its Global Chief Compliance Officer. At Zimmer, Laura was a member of the company's global operating committee and handled the company's compliance with a Corporate Integrity Agreement with the Office of Inspector General/HHS and a Deferred Prosecution Agreement with the Department of Justice. Additionally, she partnered with all functions at Zimmer to manage through multiple commercial, R&D, marketing and other challenges. In 2009, Laura joined GE Healthcare as its Chief Compliance Counsel in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. In March, 2015, Laura became General Counsel, Global Services & Privacy and in November, 2015 Laura was promoted to General Counsel, Global Innovation and is responsible for a global team of GEHC's product lawyers. Laura serves on the board of the Metro Milwaukee's American Heart Association bringing awareness to women's heart disease and is also a co-leader for GE Healthcare's GEWN global board whose mission is to empower, inspire and support the company's many talented women.
