Biography

Mr. Chip Garver served as Partner at Faegre Baker Daniels. He focuses his practice in government where he has worked with clients to solve problems and maximize opportunities for more than two decades. Chip brings a diverse background in advising both public and private sector clients. Throughout his career, he has provided strategic and legal advice to numerous Fortune 100 corporations, governmental officials and individuals. Chip has particular expertise in navigating state and local legislative process and grass roots advocacy. He is adept at developing successful strategies to effectively interact with state and local governments. Chip has substantial legislative and regulatory experience in the areas of alcohol, gaming, taxation, health, education, environmental, economic development, banking and finance, local government, and logistics. His 20+ years of experience and his multi-client base have given him expertise in these fields. Legislative strategies, which Chip has helped develop, secured the expansion of the Indiana Convention Center and a new home venue for the Indianapolis Colts and NCAA Final Four Men's Basketball Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Chip was a Deputy Attorney General and the Director of Legislative Affairs for Indiana Attorney General Pamela Fanning Carter. He was responsible for drafting, monitoring and advocating the legislative initiatives of the Attorney General. Chip also monitored federal legislation and coordinated with the National Association of Attorneys General on several state and federal issues.
