Biography

Mr. Daniel Calderon is a Co-Founder and serves as Managing Partner at Alcazar Energy. Prior to Alcazar Energy, Calderon worked at Masdar as the Head of Origination & Investment Management for 5 years acquiring, developing and operating projects in the renewable energy sector. During this time, Masdar invested c.a. USD 7bn in wind and solar projects. Prior to Masdar, Calderon worked at General Electric for 10 years in various M&A and Principal Investments roles in Asia, Europe, North and South America. At the end of his GE career, Calderon was Origination Director at GE Energy Financial Services where he covered equity investments in the solar and wind sectors. Calderon graduated from the GE Information Management & Leadership Program (IMLP) and was a member of the GE Internal Consulting Program (GECAS). Calderon holds degrees in Industrial Engineering & Finance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (Cum-Laude) and an MBA from London Business School.
