Biography

Dr. Ed Zschau served as a Board Member at Princeton Power Systems. Dr. Zschau has had a long and distinguished career in business, public policy, and academia. He was Founder and CEO of System Industries, a Silicon Valley computer products company from 1968 to 1982, and he served as the General Manager of IBM's Storage Systems Division during 1993-95. In addition chairing the Board of Princeton Power Systems from its founding in 2001 to 2013, Dr. Zschau currently serves as Chairman of Polyera Corporation and STARTEK, Inc. (NYSE) and as a director or advisor of three other private technology companies. He served as a Director and Chairman of the American Electronics Association in the 1970s and as a U.S. Congressman from Silicon Valley for two terms in the 1980s. Dr. Zschau received his A.B. degree from Princeton University and his MBA, M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University. He taught for several years at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in the 1960s and for four years at the Harvard Business School in the 1990s. For sixteen years, he was a Visiting Lecturer with rank of Professor at Princeton University in the Department of Electrical Engineering. Currently, he is teaching on a part time basis at both Princeton and Caltech.
