Biography

Dr. Thomas Krygowski serves as Managing Director & Equity Research Analyst at 1919 Investment Counsel. His primary responsibility is as an Equity Research Analyst covering the Information Technology sector including semiconductors, communications equipment, storage, handsets, and related industries. He joined the firm in 2006 after working for six years at a closed-end mutual fund in New York City. Before that, he was a scientist at Sandia National Laboratories working on silicon micromachining technology. He earned a B.S. in Physics, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is the recipient of four US Patents, one for developing a novel Solar Cell processing technology and three in the field of Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS). He has authored over 22 technical publications in the semiconductor field related to MEMS, Solar Energy, and Compound Semiconductors. He also has taught technical short courses, presented original research, and consulted in various technical fields. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and is a CFA charter holder.
