Patricia Barmeyer JD General Information
Biography
Ms. Patricia Barmeyer serves as a Trustee at Hollins University. She served as Senior Counsel at King & Spalding. Previously, she served as a Partner at King & Spalding. She is a partner in King & Spalding's Atlanta office and the head of the firm's environmental practice. She joined the firm in 1990 after working on environmental and natural resource cases for 17 years in the office of the Attorney General of the State of Georgia. She specializes in the environmental permitting of controversial projects and the litigation that is often part of the process of bringing those projects to completion. She is currently active with the Trust for Public Land. She has been involved as well with legal services organizations, including the Georgia Legal Services Foundation and the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. She is a recipient of the Hollins Distinguished Alumnae Award. A history major at Hollins, she graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School.
