Brian Morales General Information

Biography

Mr. Brian Morales served as Vice Chairman, Finance and Chief Financial Officer at NewCastle Gold. He holds a BBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and from there went on to join Ernst & Young LLP in their assurance practice. After obtaining his CA, Mr. Morales went on to a finance role at Inmet Mining. Mr. Morales has held roles with the equity research group of Credit Suisse Securities (Canada) covering the precious metals sector as well as Director, Financial Reporting at Kinross Gold where he was involved in all facets of the company's external financial reporting. Additionally, he was a member of the due diligence teams on several of Kinross' transactions. After Kinross, Mr. Morales joined Elgin Mining serving as its Chief Financial Officer until January 2012. He also has served as Chief Financial Officer of several exploration stage companies.
