Biography

Ms. Ali O'Reilly served as an Associate at Eversheds International. She was an associate in our international commercial practice group, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She specializes in employment and labour law. She advises on the laws and regulations of the UAE, primarily on labour matters, but also on data protection, competition, franchising, distribution, agency and general commercial contracts. Ali is involved in various aspects of commercial and employment law and in particular advises on sensitive employee terminations, strategic employment restructuring and managing employment litigation cases. She also drafts, advises and negotiates a wide range of commercial contracts, both UAE-based and international. Ali also manages international commercial cross jurisdiction advice arrangements, liaising with lawyers across the Middle East and project managing cross border advice. Her recent Middle East experience includes: Advising a leading oil and gas client on a review project of their HR policies, employment contracts and providing strategic restructuring advice and also managing their employment litigation. Advising a leading drinks manufacturing client on their commercial contracts, distribution agreements, competition matters and also their employment disputes and ad hoc commercial matters. Providing clients on a daily basis advice regarding employment structures and arrangements, drafting employment documentation and managing labour disputes. Undertaking commercial and employment due diligence exercises for clients on projects, communicating with and ensuring consistency of approach with numerous jurisdictions. She is a dual qualified lawyer having qualified in both Ireland and in England & Wales. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University College Dublin and obtained her legal qualifications from Blackhall Place, College of Law in Dublin, Ireland. She is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and also the Law Society of England & Wales.
