Biography

Mr. David Robertson serves as Chief Executive Officer, Principal and Chief Investment Officer at FrontRange Capital Partners. Mr. Robertson is a Co-Owner and serves as Board Advisor at Tom's Watch Bar. Previously he served as Co-President and Chief Investment Officer of AIMCO. Mr. Robertson has more than 20 years of investment and operational experience and has completed more than $15 billion of investments, transactions, and financings during his career. Prior to founding FrontRange, Mr. Robertson was Co-President, Chief Investment Officer, and Chief Financial Officer of Apartment Investment and Management Company ("AIMCO"). He serves as a Board Member at TurboTenant. Mr. Robertson joined AIMCO as Executive Vice President and Head of Affordable Housing in February 2002, was appointed President and C.E.O. of AIMCO Capital in September 2002, Chief Investment Officer of AIMCO in March 2007, and Co-President and Chief Financial Officer in February 2009. In addition to serving as Chairman of AIMCO's Investment Committee, Mr. Robertson was responsible for strategic planning, portfolio management, investments, joint ventures, finance, accounting, capital markets, and transactional activities for AIMCO's $10 billion portfolios. AIMCO is traded on the NYSE (Symbol AIV) and is one of 20 REITs included in the S&P 500 Index. Since 1996, Mr. Robertson has been Chairman of Robeks Corporation ("Robeks"), a privately held chain of specialty food stores that he founded, now with approximately 120 stores in 14 states, the District of Columbia, Qatar, and Japan. Prior to founding Robeks, Mr. Robertson was Vice President of the Investment Banking Group at Smith Barney from 1991 to 1996, where he was responsible for real estate investment banking transactions in the western United States. While at Smith Barney, Mr. Robertson completed more than $3 billion of equity and debt financings for multifamily, retail, self-storage, banking, financial service, homebuilding, and other real estate-based companies, including AIMCO's initial public offering in 1994. Mr. Robertson currently serves on the Board of Directors of Milhaus, Cottonwood Residential, Staybridge Company, SevenBar Aviation, Classic Brands, Boulder Creek Neighborhoods, and Robeks Corporation. Mr. Robertson earned a Master's in Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1991 and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, San Diego in 1989.
