Biography

Dr. Martin Roberts serves as Chief Scientist at Vivance. He completed his Bachelor's degree at the College of the City of New York, Masters at Brooklyn College and Doctorate in biochemistry at the University of Southern California. He then entered private industry, developing intravenous solutions, peritoneal dialyses, and catheters for Don Baxter, haemodialysis equipment and blood tubing sets for the Seattle Artificial Kidney Supply Company and sorbent haemodialysis equipment and supplies for Organon Teknika. On retiring, he joined Dr. Lee as Co-Director of the Laboratory for Artificial Kidney Innovation and Development at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. He is currently a Dialysis Research and Development Consultant at the VA and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Roberts has published extensively in the field of sorbent haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. He has several patents including some on peritoneal dialysis solutions and equipment.
