Biography

Mr. Peter Sally Co-Founded and served as Managing Partner at Seae Ventures. Mr. Sally served as a Board Member at Zest Health. He is a venture capital investor with a mix of technical finance, government, and early-to-growth stage company development in healthcare. Most recently, he was a Director at Zaffre where he was actively involved with all portfolio company transactions, managed portfolio performance, sourced companies, negotiated terms, and served on portfolio company boards. At Zaffre he served on the boards of Yaro (acquired by Virgin Pulse), Cohero Health, InformedDNA, Ovuline (d/b/a Ovia), and was on the Excel Venture Fund Advisory Committee. To further support Zaffre's portfolio, he developed the Digital Health Sabbatical Program which placed a BCBSMA associate within a portfolio company for up to six months. Prior to Zaffre, he worked as a consultant in the government affairs division of BCBSMA. During this time he worked with federal officials to enhance proposed healthcare regulations and legislation, analyze and implement provisions within the Affordable Care Act at the health plan level, and navigated congressional inquiries into Medicare Advantage and commercial products. He started his career working on Capitol Hill where he was a healthcare legislative assistant for Congressman Stephen F. Lynch. During his time in Washington, He represented the congressman in meetings with federal/state/local officials, C-level executives, and other influential business and non-profit professionals. He was the office lead for two sweeping healthcare reforms, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. He is an undergraduate of Union College, where he majored in History and Political Science and earned an MBA from Boston College.
