Biography
Mr. Murat Sönmez serves as Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer & Board Member at pulsESG. He serves as Advisor at Bow Capital. Mr. Sönmez serves as Board Member at World Economic Forum and Avellino Labs. As a co-founder of TIBCO Software in 1997, he led its growth to over a billion dollars as a public company as the head of its customer-facing operations. In 2014, he was invited to join the Managing Board of the World Economic Forum in Geneva where he was responsible for global business engagement. In 2017 he moved to San Francisco as the founding head of its technology policy arm, the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Network based in San Francisco now operational in more than 16 countries with hundreds of companies engaged. He holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Bosphorus University in Istanbul, Turkey, and an MS degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Tech.
