Biography
Mr. Luiz Cezar Fernandes was a Co-Founder and served as Partner at Invixx. Fernandes served as Partner at Mountain Nazca. He has been an influential figure in the Brazilian banking for many years. He is responsible for founding two of the most respected investment banks in Brazil: Banco Garantia and Banco Pactual. Cezar has always been a pioneer in bringing innovation to the markets. He is a founder of CETIP, the Brazilian settlement house for OTC derivatives and fixed income securities, as well as founder of the SELIC, securities settlement system of government. Apart from instrumental / essential in the creation of the regulatory agency markets - CVM, Cezar was one of the consultants of external debt restructuring in the mid 80s and is a founding member of Anbima, the National Association of Financial Market Institutions.
