Biography

Mr. Chris Coates serves as Principal, Corporate & Commercial at Clintons (Law Firm). Chris advises on all aspects of corporate work with particular experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and public and private equity fundraising. His clients range from listed international corporates to individual owners of private businesses and entrepreneurs looking for assistance with their technology start-ups. He advises on transactions across a broad range of industry sectors including music, sport, theatre, marketing, new technology, and oil and gas exploration. Before becoming a solicitor, Chris qualified as a Chartered Company Secretary (ACIS) and oversees the provision of the firm's company secretarial services. Chris read law at the University of Birmingham and studied to be an FCIS (Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries) at Kensington College of Business.
