Biography
Mr. Phillip Ryder serves as Director at Highland Capital Management. He has over seven years of investing, finance, and consulting experience. Prior to joining Highland in October 2014, Mr. Ryder was a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. In this capacity, he advised pharma companies, retail banks and hospitality groups on strategic projects. Additionally, Mr. Ryder assisted private equity and corporate clients in their evaluation of potential acquisition targets. Previously, he was a credit and distressed investor at Sankaty Advisors, the credit affiliate of Bain Capital, where he researched prospective investment opportunities across the capital structure and managed a portfolio of leveraged loans, high yield bonds and credit derivatives. Mr. Ryder earned a MBA from The Kellogg School of Management and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
