Biography

Mr. Douglas Murray served as Partner at Baird Holm. He represented clients with respect to general corporate matters, as well as estate planning, taxation and general individual and corporate tax planning issues. His practice also included bank and bank holding company work along with mergers and acquisitions and tax increment financing. With a background in agriculture, Doug has represented a number of farmer coops, ethanol plants and other ag-related interests. He served for several years as board counsel for an Iowa farm cooperative until it was recently acquired. Doug obtained his CPA certificate in 1985 and worked as an accountant for a big four accounting firm prior to attending law school. He has also served as an adjunct professor teaching management accounting for Concordia University. Doug received his LL.M. in Taxation, summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2013.
