James Thorp General Information
Biography
Mr. James Thorp is a Co-Founder and serves as a Managing Partner at AAVIN Equity Partners. He has over 29 years of private equity investment, fund management and investment banking experience. He founded AAVIN in 1999. Prior to AAVIN from 1983 to 1993 he served in various investment management positions with Allsop Venture Partners, a major Midwestern private equity firm. From 1993 to 1999 he was responsible for the private equity and investment banking activities of Berthel Fisher & Company, a major regional broker and dealer. He currently has board responsibilities with America's PowerSports, Inc., and Celleration, Inc. Mr. Thorp received a BS in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He has served on the board of governors of the NASBIC.
