Biography

Mr. Christopher Onan serves as Investment Committee Member at A-Street. He serves as Advisor at FirstTracks Ventures. He serves as Board Member at FoodMaven. He served as Managing Director at Appian Ventures. He co-founded Galvanize. He has over a decade of venture capital experience and enjoys the challenges and rewards of helping early-stage entrepreneurs navigate their companies to growth. Currently, he represents Appian on the board of directors of mPayGateway and is responsible for Appian's investments in Thought Equity Motion and Tendril. Earlier, He served on the board of directors of Auctionpay, Inc. before its acquisition by Global Payments, Inc. (NYSE: GPN), and Waukee Engineering, Inc. before its acquisition by United Process Controls. Before joining Appian, He was a partner at Wolf Ventures, where he had the privilege of working with companies such as Broadbus Technologies, (acquired by Motorola (NYSE: MOT)), NextAction Corporation (merged with Datalogix, Inc.), Tian Software (sold to Outlooksoft/SAP (NYSE: SAP)) and Ischemia Technologies (sold to Inverness Medical/Alere, Inc. (NYSE: ALR)). He spent four years with LEK Consulting, an international strategy consulting boutique, before locating to Colorado. He often speaks about entrepreneurial finance at Denver University's Daniels College of Business and the Leeds College of Business at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He is a current member and the former President and Chairman of the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association; and is a member of theAssociate'ss Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado. He is also Northwestern University's alumni admissions council leader for Colorado. Originally from Minnesota, He received a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
