Biography

Mr. Andrew Himel served as Managing Partner, Finance of Kilmer Brownfield at Kilmer Group. He brings over 15 years of analytical, financial and real estate experience to the team. Prior to joining the Fund, Andrew was a real estate strategy consultant based in Hamburg, Germany, where he advised clients on a wide range of strategic real estate investment issues. Andrew was Finance Manager at Sony Berlin GmbH, the company responsible for the development of $1 billion Sony Center at Potsdamer Platz, one of Europe's largest reclamation projects. Other positions held include Director of New Technologies at Cinemaxx GmbH, a multiplex theatre operator, Associate at Berenberg Consult GmbH, a German private bank, and Associate at First Funding Corporation, a boutique investment bank. Andrew Himel holds a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Andrew is also a chartered property finance and investment surveyor and member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Andrew is treasurer of the Canadian Brownfields Network and a member of its Finance and Insurance Committee.
