Biography

Mr. Alfredo Alfaro served as Managing Partner, Mexico at Northgate Capital. Previously, he served as MD at Advent International. He joined Advent in 1996 and focuses on investment activities in Mexico. Before joining Advent, he spent 14 years with Grupo Financiero Probursa, a leading Mexican financial bank. He started in corporate and project finance, then moved to the bank's private equity group, Promotora Probursa, where he became one of its senior investment officers. He received a BS in business administration from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and an MBA from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico. He also completed a business program at the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion de Empresas. His current directorships include Arabela Holding, Controladora Milano (Chairman), Grupo Aeroplazas, Grupo La Mansion, Hildebrando, Hipotecaria Casa Mexicana, Impactos Frecuencia y Cobertura en Medios, Inmobiliaria Fumisa, Operadora Comercial Aeroportuaria; and his previous directorships include Aeroplazas de Mexico, Consultoria Internacional Casa de Cambio, DolEx Dollar Express, Grupo Embotelladores del Sureste, Latinoamericana Duty Free (Aeroboutiques de Mexico).
