Biography

Mr. Timothy Franks served as Chief Executive Officer at Jacobs Holding. He serves as Advisor at Mustard Seed + Partners. He serves as a Board Member at The Hut Group. Mr. Franks served as a Partner in private Equity, a Member of the European Private Equity Investment Committee, European Portfolio Management Committee, and Global Impact Fund Committee, Co-CEO of the Global Democratized Private Equity Business & Lead, Development in the UK & Ireland, and Consumer Industry Team in EMEA at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts. He served as Board Member at ERM. Deals he worked on include Fat Face, Poundland, and DFS. Mr. Franks served as a Managing Director, partner, and head of the European retail, consumer, and leisure team at Advent International. He joined the London office of Advent International in 1999 and has 15 years of private equity experience. In 2010, he moved to open and lead Advent's New York office. In 2013, he returned to the London office, where he is a member of the European Advisory Committee. He covers investments in the RCL and TMT sectors, as well as covering Scandinavia and the Netherlands. Before Advent, he worked for the investment banking division of Credit Suisse First Boston in London and before that for Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. He has an MA from Cambridge University, where he was awarded the Dr. Herchel Smith Scholarship for continued study at Harvard University. At Harvard, he received a Master of Public Policy focusing on international finance and development from the John F. Kennedy School of Government.
