Biography

Dr. Michael Liang is the Founder and serves as Managing General Partner at InVivium Capital. He serves as a Investment Committee Member at N.XT. Dr. Liang served as a Partner, in Venture Capital - Healthcare at Baird Capital. He also serves as a Board member at Alto Neuroscience. He also served as a Chairman at Illinois Ventures. He also served as a Board Member at OncoHealth. He also serves as a Board Member at NeoChord and Strata Oncology. He also served as a Board Member at Nephrodite. He joined Baird Capital in 2006 and concentrates on healthcare investments. He served as a Board Member at GreenLight Biosciences. Before joining Baird Capital, he was a venture investor with Advent Venture Partners and before that, served in an operating role as a Director of R&D at Cortek, a spinal orthopaedics company. He served as a Board Member at Amphora Medical, Insight Medical, AiCure, Veniti, Zurex Pharma, Integrated Diagnostics and Apervita serving as Chairman of the Board for Insightra Medical and Veniti. He was previously a board member of Interlace Medical before its acquisition in 2011 and a board observer of TomoTherapy before its public offering. He is a member of the advisory board for the University of Illinois Chicago's Proof of Concept Fund, Northwestern University's Innovation and New Ventures Office, the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) Accelerator program, Chicago MATTER, and the governance board for the Chicago Biocenter initiative. He also is a member of Rush University Medical Center's Associates Board. He also serves as a Board Member at Matter. He is also a Board Member at IllinoisVENTURES. He received a BS from the University of California Berkeley, a PhD in biophysical chemistry from Stanford University, and conducted a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University.
