Biography

Mr. Robert Kagle is a Co-Founder & serves as General Partner at Benchmark (San Francisco). He also served as Board Member at Axiom Global. He served as Board Member at Factor Law, Everfest and Gaia Online. He is the board member at eBags. He also serves as Board Member at uShip. He has several years of venture capital investment experience, Bob is a veteran of the venture industry. Prior to Benchmark, Bob spent 12 years as a General Partner with Technology Venture Investors. Before TVI, Bob worked for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he focused on issues of corporate strategy in industries ranging from retail distribution to high technology manufacturing. His various investments are AllPosters.com, Ariba (ARBA), Art.com (acquired by Getty Images), Arteis, Axiom Global, eBags, eBay (EBAY), E-Loan (EELN), Friendster, Get2Chip (acquired by Cadence), Jamba Juice, Logoworks (acquired by HP), Mint, PeopleSupport (PSPT), Potbelly, Prosper, Stitcher, Synopsys (SNPS), WorldWinner.com (acquired by Fun Technologies), Zipcar and zipRealty (ZIPR). Most recently, Bob's investments have been focused in the consumer internet arena. Bob is a past president of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists, a former director of the National Venture Capital Association, and the Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Trustees at Kettering University. He holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, 1980, General Motors Fellow, BS in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute (renamed Kettering University), 1978, Sobey Scholar.
