Biography

Mr. Giampiero Mazza serves as Managing Partner at CVC Capital Partners. He served as Board Member at Cerved Group and Sisal. He also served as Board Member at Pasubio. He joined CVC in 2010. he heads the CVC Italy team and is based in Milan. Prior to joining CVC, he was with BC Partners where he was a Partner focusing on the Spanish market. Prior to BC Partners, he worked at MidOcean Partners (fka DB Capital Partners). Prior to his career in private equity, he worked as an M&A adviser for J.D. Wolfensohn in New York and as a Management Consultant for Bain & Co. in Dallas, US. He holds a BA Degree from Rice University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. Mazza holds a summa cum laude degree in economics from Rice University (Houston, Texas, USA) and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School (Boston, Massachusetts, USA). He started his career as a strategy consultant at Bain and Company corporate headquarters in Dallas (Texas, USA), after which he joined James D Wolfensohn Inc. (New York, New York, USA), a company specializing in M&A. From 2005 to 2010, he was Partner of BC Partners (London, U.K.), a private equity company. He has been at CVC Capital Partners since 2010, where he is currently in charge of the Italian business as a senior managing director.
