Daniel Cain General Information
Biography
Mr. Daniel Cain was a Co-Founder and served as Managing Partner at Health Enterprise Partners. Mr. Daniel Cain is Co-Founder and Chairman at Cain Brothers. He was a Founder and served as Partner at CB Health Ventures. Before starting Cain Brothers in 1982, Mr. Cain was manager of the Health Care Group at Salomon Brothers (1980-82) and a SVP with Blyth Eastman Dillon (1975-80). He was in the real estate finance department of Merrill Lynch. Dan left Salomon Brothers to start Cain Brothers, recognizing the unique regulatory and technology challenges confronting voluntary and investor-owned health care providers. Industry specialization permits a singular approach to capital financing and corporate development not easily addressed by diversified financial institutions. Dan is a member of Cain Brothers' Executive Committee. He is a frequent speaker at industry and academic conferences and an author of publications including Capital Finance, an Aspen publication describing the process of health care capital formation. Dan grew up in Holyoke, Massachusetts and is a graduate of Brown University with a degree in American Civilization. He also has a MBA from the Columbia Business School.
