Biography

Mr. Peter Shoemaker serves as Managing Director at Wedbush Capital Partners. He serves as a Partner at American Discovery Capital. He also serves as a Board Member at Critical Alert Systems. He has over 25 years of experience investing in lower-middle-market companies. He has structured leveraged buyouts, roll-ups, recapitalization, and growth equity for companies in a variety of industries. Previously, Peter was Managing Director of Alvin V. Shoemaker Investments, Inc. where he managed a portfolio of over 25 private investments in multiple private equity funds. Earlier in his career, he invested capital for Hanover Energy, a merchant bank controlled by William E. Simon and Sons which focused on buyouts in the energy industry. While at Hanover, Peter was involved in establishing Hanover Compressor Company through the roll-up of multiple lower middle-market companies. Hanover Compressor Company later went public and subsequently was merged with Exterran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: EXH). Peter began his career as a research analyst in Merrill Lynch's Capital Markets Group and then worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers' Corporate Recovery Group. Peter is very active with his alma mater and other charitable activities in the Los Angeles community.
