Biography

Mr. Michael Shanahan serves as Chief Financial Officer at Venture Guides. He serves as Senior Vice President of financial Operations at SevOne. He is a Co-Founder and serves as Managing Partner at Egan-Managed Capital. He also served as a Board Observer of OnePIN and as Board Member at AppNeta. He has several years of experience in finance and early-stage venture investing. As managing partner at Egan-Managed Capital, he is responsible for the investment decision process. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Nexaweb, AppNeta, Highroads, Healthrageous, and Whaleback Systems. He formerly served on the Board of Softrax Corporation (acquired by AFS Technologies), Top Layer Networks, IntelliVid (acquired Tyco, NYSE: TYC), AllVertical, Conjoin, Lineo, Monetrics (acquired by JM Family Enterprises), Network Engines (NASDAQ: NENG), Network Intelligence (acquired by EMC, NYSE: EMC), Sandy Bay Networks and Terascape Software (acquired by EMC, NYSE: EMC). He also frequently supports other portfolio companies with financial and capitalization advice. He served as a director and filled interim management roles in several Eastech portfolio companies. Before joining Eastech, he worked in corporate finance and venture capital at both Paine Webber and Banker's Trust Company. He holds an AB in Economics from Holy Cross College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
