Biography

Mr. Nicholas Puro serves as a Venture Partner at GEO MedTech Ventures. He served as Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer at MultiVir. He serves as Board Member at Aqua Therapeutics and EndoSound. He has over 20 years of management, venture capital, and legal experience. He was CEO of CRN Wireless LLC, a nationwide provider of wireless network operation services for the processing of mission-critical data signals in the pharmaceutical temperature monitoring industry and other medical services. He was responsible for leading a complete restructuring of the company including operational and commercial changes necessary for the company to reestablish a position in a competitive market. As President of medical device manufacturer, Temptime Corporation, he led the explosive growth and strategic transformation to a multi-product international corporation with a worldwide pharmaceutical industry customer base and operations in the US, Europe, India, and Asia. He was a partner of the Edelson Technology funds (Edelson Funds), a series of strategic venture capital funds that managed corporate rather than pension money for ten of the world's largest multinational corporations (AT&T, Viacom, 3M, Ford Motor, Cincinnati Bell, Colgate-Palmolive, Reed Elsevier, Imation, Asea Brown Boveri, and UPS). Two additional prominent limited partners were Harbourvest and Wellcome Trust which entered the partnerships through secondary purchases. The Edelson Funds have invested in over 130 companies in all areas of technology including life sciences, information technology, specialty materials, education, telecommunications, and alternative energy. Before joining the Edelson Funds, he was a leading venture capital attorney performing transactional work for many of the largest and most well-respected venture capital funds on the East Coast. He is been a member of numerous boards of directors and is respected for his knowledge of corporate governance. He has a BS in Accounting from Seton Hall University and a JD from Fordham Law School.
