Biography

Mr. Ryan Bohr serves as President & Chief Executive Officer at School Specialty. He is a Co-Founder and serves as a Managing Director at Torch Lake Capital Partners. He has over 13 years of private equity investing and corporate finance experience. He has led transactions through both in-court and out-of-court restructurings and has developed a focus within the food manufacturing arena. He is currently a director of Awrey Bakeries, LLC, Sioux-Preme Packing Co., Niman Ranch, Inc., Prairie Grove Farms of Iowa, LLC, and Effigi, Inc, and previously served as a director for J.W. Fergusson & Sons, LLC and Midwest Finishing Products, Inc. He was formerly an Associate at Thoma Cressey Equity Partners, a private equity firm managing approximately $1 billion of capital focused on middle-market leveraged buyout, build-up, and growth equity transactions. Prior to Thoma Cressey, he was an Associate in the Corporate Finance Group at William Blair & Company where he focused on the execution of private and public equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic advisory assignments for middle-market companies. He began his professional career at KPMG Peat Marwick working in both the financial services audit practice and the Transaction Services advisory group. He is a CPA and received a BBA in accounting from The University of Notre Dame.
