Biography

Mr. Shomit Ghose serves as Executive & Board Member at Angelneers. He serves as a Partner at Clearvision Ventures. Previously, he held the position of Partner in Information Technology at ONSET Ventures and served as a Board Member at Adara. Additionally, he served as a Board Member at Evoy and an Advisor at EcoSync and Perimeter. Mr. Ghose was also a Board Member of Imanis Data and Polymorph. He joined ONSET Ventures in 2001 following years of experience at high-tech companies in Silicon Valley. Throughout his career, he played integral roles in several successful IPOs, including those of Sun Microsystems and Broadvision. Before joining ONSET, he served as Senior Vice President of Operations at Tumbleweed Communications, guiding the company through a successful IPO in 1999. Before that, he held the position of Vice President of the Worldwide Professional Services Organization at BroadVision, contributing to another successful IPO in 1996. Mr. Ghose's career began as a network protocol engineer at Metaphor Computer Systems, later transitioning to Sun Microsystems as an engineer in the original pre-IPO software development team. He has also held roles as Director of Marketing and Director of Asia/Pacific Operations for nCUBE, and served as a board member of Alier, a data integration software company now part of webMethods. He graduated in 1982 with a degree in Computer Science and currently focuses on software, networking, and infrastructure companies at Clearvision Ventures. He mentors and provides management resources to portfolio companies, aiming to maximize their success. His notable investments include Adara, Gridstore, Netseer, Pancetera (acquired by Quantum), Sentilla, and Truviso (acquired by Cisco). Furthermore, Mr. Ghose holds the position of Industry Fellow and lead venture coach at UC Berkeley's College of Engineering, and he serves on the Entrepreneurship Advisory Board at the University of San Francisco.
