Phil Greer General Information

Biography

Mr. Phil Greer serves as Special Limited Partner at Opus Capital. He brings several experience of venture capital investing experience to Opus Capital, having been a founding partner of Weiss, Peck & Greer in 1971, and having provided continuity of leadership of the firm since that time. Phil was an early investor and a director of Federal Express Corporation from 1974 to 2008. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Administrators of Tulane University and was Chairman of the Board from 2006 to 2009. He also is also a member of the Board of Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Massachusetts. Prior to founding Weiss, Peck & Greer, He was associated with White, Weld & Co. and A.G. Becker & Co. He holds an AB degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
