J. Landis Martin JD General Information

Biography

Mr. J. Landis Martin served as the Chairman of the Board of the Denver Art Museum. He is a Founder and serves as Chairman at Platte River Equity. He also served as Advisory Board Member at Millennium Bridge Capital. He served as Board Member at Halliburton. He served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Bonfils Stanton Foundation. He served as an Advisor in Millennium Bridge Capital. He served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Northwestern University. He has also served as CEO of publicly-held industrial, chemical, and metals companies for nearly 20 years. He was Chairman and CEO of Titanium Metals Corporation (TIMET)(formerly NYSE: TIE). Under his leadership, TIMET's equity value increased from $20 million to more than $3.5 billion. In addition, he was CEO and President of NL Industries, Inc., a specialty chemical producer that also owned Baroid Corporation, a diversified oilfield service business with revenue in excess of $1 billion. Prior to NL Industries, Inc., he was a partner with the national law firm of Kirkland & Ellis. He is a Founding Director and Chairman of the Board of Crown Castle International Corp. (NYSE: CCI), the largest owner and operator of wireless communication sites in the U.S. He is also the lead director of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL), Apartment Investment Management Company (NYSE: AIV) and Intrepid Potash (NYSE: IPI). He holds a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and a B.S. in Business Administration from Northwestern University. He also serves as Advisor at Cheyenne Capital.
