Biography

Mr. William Porteous serves as General Partner and Chief Operating Officer at RRE Ventures. Mr. Porteous serves as Board Member at HyperSpectral. He served as Board Member at YipitData. He serves as Board Member at WaveXR. He serves as Chairman at BlackSky. He serves as Board Member at Spaceflight Industries. He served as Board Member at BuzzFeed. He serves as the Board Member at Nanit, and Wave (Entertainment Software). Before joining the venture capital industry, he held senior management positions in marketing and product management with SupplyWorks and NetMarket, the e-commerce company now owned by Cendant Corp. He is also a Director of Data Robotics, Electric Cloud, Hot potato, Liquid Machines, Peek, Skyhook Wireless and Xobni and a former Director of Frictionless Commerce (acquired by SAP) and Tacit Networks (acquired by PKTR). He also serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia Business School and as Chairman of the Dockery Farms Foundation which he founded. He is board member of Certeon. Mr. Porteous holds an MBA from Harvard University, an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA with Honors from Stanford University where he served as Captain of the Varsity Crew.
