James Robinson III General Information

Biography

Mr. James Robinson III is the Founder and serves as Managing Partner at RRE Ventures. He served as Board Member at CoverHound. He serves as Board Member at K2 Integrity & Empire State Realty Trust. He served as a Trustee at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He also serves as Board Member & Advisor at NerdWallet. He served as Board Observer & Advisor at First Performance. He has been active within the technology community for over 30 years, and has led investments in and served on the boards of more than 40 technology companies. He is a Co-Founder and Director of Abra, and a Director of HYPR, Netsertive, NihaoPay, Noom, OLO, Securrency, and TheSkimm. He is a Board Observer at Digital Currency Group (DCG) and Bitpay. He has been recognized on the Forbes Midas List of Top 100 VCs, as well as Institutional Investors' Top Fintech Investors. Previously, he worked at H&Q Venture Capital and J.P. Morgan & Co. Earlier, he founded IV Systems (Unix applications). He holds an MBA from Harvard and a joint degree in Computer Science & Business Administration from Antioch College. He is a director of the New York City Partnership Investment Fund and the HBS Alumni Angels. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Board at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
