Biography

Dr. Georg Schwegler is a Co-Founder and serves as Partner at HighScale Ventures. He served as Founding Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Transamerica Ventures. He served as Board Observer at CipherCloud and Everplans. He joined the Transamerica Ventures team in September 2013. Prior to joining Transamerica, he was the CEO of T-Venture, the corporate venture unit of Deutsche Telekom and T-Mobile, where he established a broad network in the venture capital, start-up, and technology communities in Europe, the United States, and Israel. He has been in the venture capital industry for 19 years and has served on numerous boards in a supervisory board member or observer role. Before T-Venture, he led the central R&D and innovation program of Deutsche Telekom. Earlier in his career, he worked as a consultant in marketing and innovation research. He holds a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Cologne in Cologne, Germany. He served as Board Member at NextCapital.
