Biography

Mr. Jon Kossow serves as Managing Partner and Co-Head of Growth Equity team at Norwest Venture Partners. He is a part of the venture team. He serves as Board Member at YipitData, Banyan Software, Wine Access, World 50 and Vuori. Mr. Kossow served as Board Member at 1010data, Avetta, Clarus Commerce, The Retail Equation, Infutor Data Solutions, Manta, Turnitin, Topo Athletic and Classy. He brings more than a decade of growth equity experience from leading global investment firms. He is focused on growth equity investments across a range of sectors, including information technology, business services, financial services, and healthcare. Earlier, he was a Director at Goldman Sachs, where Mr. Kossow headed the San Francisco, California office for the firm's Americas Special Situations Group. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he spent several years at TA Associates in Menlo Park. He began his tenure at TA as an Associate in the Technology practice in 1998 and soon progressed to become a Vice President. Later on, as a Principal, he led TA's West Coast Business Services Practice. In these various roles, he was engaged in all aspects of the deal process including idea generation, deal sourcing, due diligence, deal negotiation, and board representation. During his time at TA, Mr. Kossow worked with such companies as 5.11 Tactical, Asurion, Babcock Jenkins, Circle Graphics, CoreLogic, Logistics Health, TogetherSoft, Voyant Technologies, and WebSideStory. Earlier in his career, he spent two years at Leo Burnett USA, a global advertising agency, where he managed strategy development and campaign management for several Fortune 500 companies. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Harvard College.
