Biography

Gary Wee was the Co-Founder and serves as Chairman at Orchard Global Asset Management. He is also the Portfolio Manager for ChapelGate Credit Opportunity Fund and previously served as Chief Investment Officer for OGAM. Prior to this role, Mr. Wee was founder and Chief Executive of Newshore Capital Group and Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer of ChapelGate Asset Management (both predecessor companies to OGAM). Mr. Wee previously worked at Deutsche Bank in the bank's Global Relative Value Group where he structured products for the bank's clients. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. Wee worked at the Ontario Financing Authority first as a money market and foreign exchange portfolio manager, and then as Manager of Derivatives where he traded, structured and managed Ontario's large portfolio of swaps, bonds and options. Mr. Wee began his financial career at Midland Doherty (later acquired by Merrill Lynch) in credit and compliance. He received his BA (Hons) in Economics from Queen's University and earned his MS in Information Management from Syracuse University.
